In 2019, Yvette studied SMART (Self Management and Recovery Training) to be qualified to run group programs to assist in any problematic behaviours &/or addictions, modalities used are a combination of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing techniques.

Additional study and experience

In 2012, Yvette completed a student placement at The Nano Nagle Camps Berry Sports & Recreation Centre and also undertook the following workshops at the Sydney Centre for Creative Change with Jacki Short, Clinical Psychologist:

  • Art & Play Therapy with Children: Learn about child-led play therapy and directive art methods (children aged 2-10)
  • Creative Therapy with Young People: Learn how to use structured techniques with music, art and games to engage with children aged 10-25 (in therapy)
  • Creative Therapy with Adults: Learn techniques to warm up individuals and groups with art media in therapy including paint, charcoal and clay
  • Symbols and Sand Play: Learn through experience the depth of this powerful method for enhancing projective externalisation and facilitating conversations about the real stories of our lives.
